Harvard, MA

Picture
Harvard is a beautiful town in Worcester County, Massachusetts. The town is located 25 miles west-northwest of Boston, in eastern Massachusetts. In 2017, the population was 6,569. Known for its community vibe, Bare Hill Pond, top ranked schools, small class sizes, beautiful town library, preservation of conservation land, snowmobile trails, mountain bike trails, and the award winning General Store.

In the fall of 2018, Columbia Pictures filmed parts of Little Women (starring Emma Watson & Meryl Streep) throughout the town. You will often see Filming crews throughout the town, filming various Netflix series. You will find a lot of "Deck" style houses in Harvard, large wooded lots, a few neighborhoods with classic colonial style homes, several large horse properties and beautiful tree lined country roads. The town center is arguably one of the prettiest in New England and encompasses the elementary school, high school (grades 6-12), Bare Hill Pond, Harvard General Store, town green and several churches to choose from. Harvard is a favorite for cyclists and on the weekends you will find a plethora of them gathering at the General Store for group rides. Harvard offers plenty of running races and community activities throughout the year including an amazing Fourth of July celebration at Fruitlands Museum and annual parade. In town there are several orchards including Westward Orchards, Carlson Orchards and
 Doe Orchards.

US News
ranked The Bromfield School 37th nationally for the best STEM programs and 17th in the state. With just 402 students in grades 6-12 and a student teacher ratio of 11:1, students in Harvard enjoy a private school like setting and education but within a public school.
